Engagement Session With Ashley and Chris

Ashley and Chris shared the late afternoon with me in Sandbridge, Virginia at the beach where we all had a good time relaxing and taking fun photos. It was a little chilly near the beach but we managed to get some great shots. We also had time to shoot some photos of Alanna who is Chris’s daughter. Here are a couple shots from the engagement photography session with them. Thanks guys for making it fun and I will see you in May for the wedding.

Madison’s Friend Lilly

This evening I took the time to take Madison (my little girl) two houses down from mine to play with her friend Lilly. Madison and her enjoy playing outside when the weather is warm and this evening was very nice. I took the Nikon D300 with me to play with and used the Nikon 80-200mm AF-S f2.8 and took a couple of snapshots of Lilly. This is one from this evening that I liked. This weekend should be nice or at least on Saturday which will be nice for my enagement session with Ashley and Mike. I hope this will be the last shot of cold air and we can settle into Spring. lillyblog1.jpg

Emma “The Little Ham”

I had so much fun taking photos of Emma and I wish my little girl was this easy to shoot, but Emma, nope, it is all about being in front of the camera and showing off which she is very good at and at 4 1/2 years of age she is off on a great carer(even in a Superbowl Commercial this year).  This past weekend the rain canceled my engagement session Saturday with Laura and Daniel and Sunday seem like it was going to do the same but toward the evening the skies cleared although a little chilly we got together with Emma’s parents at a couple different locations and a couple different outfits to fit the area we choose to shoot at. The only people that know what makes Emma smile so cute now are me and Emma’s parents and I am not telling but I was laughing every time it happen. The first location was the beach and anyone that was out Sunday evening can tell you that it was no day at the beach so a couple of quick shots and we were off to the next location. This also gave me a chance to test out the new Nikon D300 and see how it would work and I am very happy with the outcome of the photos that were taken of Emma on our little outing. The next location was a place Emma’s parents knew about and I did not. The location of this park was only 5 miles from the North Carolina border down Princesses Ann Rd and I have been down this way some many times on weather chases but never knew this park was there and to be honest unless you knew it was there you would never find  it. The park had a great garden section with many flowers and places to shoot from. On the way to the park I spotted a location with a field of yellow flowers right across from the 7-11 in Pungo, Virginia that I had to make a stop at for photos of Emma and sense she had a yellow dress we were set to shoot there on the way back and that is what we did. I have to say I like the photo’s of her in the field with the flowers but then again she took good photos everywhere we shot. Thanks Emma for showing off and making you job fun and just remember me when your famous..

Taylor One Week Old

Well it’s been one week since the birth of Taylor at Chesapeake General Hospital. We also made a trip over to see this beautiful miracle on Friday so my wife could get a look at her and hold her which she did a lot of that. Both my wife and I forgot how small newborns are and we both could not remember Madison (our little girl) being that small but she was. It’s funny seeing Linda and Thao trying to get into the rhythm of having a young one around and both looked wore out( So was my wife and I) but as with all new parents time is a healing rock and thing will become second nature soon for them and they will be up and running.
