Allison & Seth Engagements Norfolk, Virginia Plum Point Park

Had an awesome time with Allison and Seth, even when you think you’ve seen every area in Norfolk, Virginia, someone finds a place that you never knew was even there (Plum Point Park). Allison is from Maryland and Seth is from Alabama and both met each other at William And Mary at law school. Both share a common interest in cooking and hiking and two cats named Magic and Maeby. Here are a few photos I liked from the engagement session. Thanks guys from making it so much fun and easy, we are truly looking forward to next month.

First off I knew Caitlyn and Hunter would be so much fun to work with just by the conversations we have had on the phone about the session and I was right. And we had such an amazing time with them even though the water proved to be quite an adventure that day (very cold). Thanks guys ( and dogs Brady & Duncan ) for making it so easy for us and braving that cold Chesapeake Bay water in October. Christine + Michael: Married! | The Signature at West Neck

When we first met Christine and Michael earlier this year, we liked them instantly. Warm and genuine, interesting and down-to-earth and funny!! So we looked forward to their wedding day at The Signature at West Neck even know the rain was upon us and had been for the last four days before the wedding. Christine and Michael chose to be intimately surrounded by those that mean most to them, which made for an incredibly heartfelt day.. Here are a few photos I liked from their wedding day….

Oh my gosh… I cannot even find words to describe how fun it was working with these two. Both really know how to make each other smile and laugh and Vertqunese responded to (the comedian) Christopher with some uncontrollable laughter. Both want to shoot in engagements in Portsmouth, Virginia where the marriage proposal took place and a special place for them. I wish both the very best together and a beautiful wedding in LA in 2012…

Hurricane Irene Virginia Beach, Virginia

We were lucky in the Hampton Roads area, hurricane Irene could have been far worse then it was. After my chase with the storm hurricane Isabel was much more destructive to our area and a large swath of the East Coast. Most of the time I like to be at land fall during a hurricane but since the eyewalls path was ploted over the area I live in, I made the choice to stay local and look over my family and property. I have posted a video that shows what I saw in my travels in Virginia Beach and Sandbridge area that took a big hit from a waterspout that came ashore and damged about five to six houses which is shown at the end of the video. It also has an interview with the man that lost his house from the damaging tornado/waterspout. I can tell you I will be cleaning sand out of my ears for a week or longer and if you stayed inside,, here is some footage of what you missed.

Christine & Michael Engagements Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia

I absolutely loved photographing Christine and Michael’s engagement session at Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia last weekend. It was a hot day but both were troopers and we had a blast exploring the areas of the park! This was the third time I have shot at this location and it definitely didn’t disappoint and still have not seen all of the park yet. Christine and Michael had suggested it as a location and I was all for it, she said it was the perfect location because it blended with what the both were looking for.

Christine and Michael are getting married this September and I can’t wait for their wedding and at one of my favorite venues as well! Here are just a few of my favorites from our engagement shoot at Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia.

Rochelle And Leonard Engagements Shockoe Bottom/ Maymont Park Richmond Virginia

I love getting to travel for engagement sessions and weddings, there’s something fun and adventurous about getting to see a place I’ve never been to and document a cool couples life together. Richmond, Virginia has been and will be again on the list of great places to shoot this year as it was for this shoot. This time besides going to Shockoe Bottom I made it to Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia and I have to say I like shooting here way more the NBG. I mean a great location with a very funny couple equals easy work and amazing photos. Rochelle you’re going to be a beautiful bride and Leonard I hope you make me laugh as much as you did on the engagement shoot my friend… See you guys in July!!!!

Jiselle And Nick, Engagements At Shockoe Bottom Richmond Virginia

Saturdays weather was perfect at Shockoe Bottom in Richmond Virginia for an e-session with Jiselle and Nick. This was the first time I had shot at this location and it’s an endless playground of angles,colors and texture for a photographer to use and I like that. I have been lucky enough to get to know Jiselle and Nick a bit more during the session and what a fun and really down to earth couple who had no problem showing affection with one another. Thanks Jiselle and Nick for making it easy to snap the shutter and also for that very tasty pizza place we ate at which I am sure I will be visiting again soon…

They wanted to get some photography in before the school year started as Joanna is a teacher and was limited on time when it started.
