Allison & Seth Engagements Norfolk, Virginia Plum Point Park

Had an awesome time with Allison and Seth, even when you think you’ve seen every area in Norfolk, Virginia, someone finds a place that you never knew was even there (Plum Point Park). Allison is from Maryland and Seth is from Alabama and both met each other at William And Mary at law school. Both share a common interest in cooking and hiking and two cats named Magic and Maeby. First off I knew Caitlyn and Hunter would be so much fun to work with just by the conversations we have had on the phone about the session and I was right. And we had such an amazing time with them even though the water proved to be quite an adventure that day (very cold). Christine + Michael: Married! | The Signature at West Neck

When we first met Christine and Michael earlier this year, we liked them instantly. Warm and genuine, interesting and down-to-earth and funny!! So we looked forward to their wedding day at The Signature at West Neck even know the rain was upon us and had been for the last four days before the wedding. Christine and Michael chose to be intimately surrounded by those that mean most to them, which made for an incredibly heartfelt day.. Here are a few photos I liked from their wedding day….

Hurricane Irene Virginia Beach, Virginia

We were lucky in the Hampton Roads area, hurricane Irene could have been far worse then it was. After my chase with the storm hurricane Isabel was much more destructive to our area and a large swath of the East Coast. Most of the time I like to be at land fall during a hurricane but since the eyewalls path was ploted over the area I live in, I made the choice to stay local and look over my family and property. I have posted a video that shows what I saw in my travels in Virginia Beach and Sandbridge area that took a big hit from a waterspout that came ashore and damged about five to six houses which is shown at the end of the video. It also has an interview with the man that lost his house from the damaging tornado/waterspout. I can tell you I will be cleaning sand out of my ears for a week or longer and if you stayed inside,, here is some footage of what you missed.

Christine & Michael Engagements Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia

I absolutely loved photographing Christine and Michael’s engagement session at Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia last weekend. It was a hot day but both were troopers and we had a blast exploring the areas of the park! This was the third time I have shot at this location and it definitely didn’t disappoint and still have not seen all of the park yet. Christine and Michael had suggested it as a location and I was all for it, she said it was the perfect location because it blended with what the both were looking for.

Christine and Michael are getting married this September and I can’t wait for their wedding and at one of my favorite venues as well! Here are just a few of my favorites from our engagement shoot at Maymont Park Richmond, Virginia.

Rochelle + Leonard {Married}

This was a gorgeous event, held at one of our favorite Norfolk venues, the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. Rochelle and Leonard were all smiles (and some tears of happiness) as they tied the knot in front of their friends and family at the St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Anyone that knows these two will tell you how warm and genuine Rochelle and Leonard are to anyone they meet. And they’re SO much fun to be around and SO much fun in front of the camera! Congrats Rochelle and Leonard!

Jiselle And Nick’s Wedding Day Yorktown Virginia

I enjoyed being around Jiselle and Nick during their engagements and the wedding was no different, what a fun and loving couple and it’s obvious how much they care for each other just by watching their stolen glances, quick kisses, and private conversations. The wedding took off without delay on the beach in Yorktown, Virginia early Saturday morning. The reception took place at the Historic Powhatan Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. I am still moved by Nick’s brothers speech as I am sure the whole room was, very heartfelt and sincere. Here are a few photos I liked from the day..

Joanna And Kelly’s Wedding Day

The Norfolk Botanical Garden was in full bloom for Joanna and Kelly’s wedding day and with a good chance of rain, luck played out on the side of the new couples special day. I remember meeting Joanna and Kelly a year and a half ago and what seemed a short jump for me, I think took forever for Joanna and Kelly to get too. I really enjoyed and I am blessed that you both allowed me to be part of your wedding day and I think with all the bumps in the road you both have had over the last year this is a new beginning for you both and nothing but good things and good news lay down the road ahead with your new life together… Good luck to the both of you….

Rochelle And Leonard Engagements Shockoe Bottom/ Maymont Park Richmond Virginia

I love getting to travel for engagement sessions and weddings, there’s something fun and adventurous about getting to see a place I’ve never been to and document a cool couples life together. Richmond, Virginia has been and will be again on the list of great places to shoot this year as it was for this shoot. This time besides going to Shockoe Bottom I made it to Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia and I have to say I like shooting here way more the NBG. I mean a great location with a very funny couple equals easy work and amazing photos.
