I recently had the opportunity to photograph Heather & Max’s wedding that took place at the historic Yorktown, Virginia riverwalk landing area. Heather & Max had a picture perfect day filled with friends and family. From the moment I met Heather & Max I knew this wedding was going to be awesome. Christine + Michael: Married! | The Signature at West Neck

When we first met Christine and Michael earlier this year, we liked them instantly. Warm and genuine, interesting and down-to-earth and funny!! So we looked forward to their wedding day at The Signature at West Neck even know the rain was upon us and had been for the last four days before the wedding. Christine and Michael chose to be intimately surrounded by those that mean most to them, which made for an incredibly heartfelt day.. Here are a few photos I liked from their wedding day….

Rochelle + Leonard {Married}

This was a gorgeous event, held at one of our favorite Norfolk venues, the Half Moone Cruise and Celebration Center. Rochelle and Leonard were all smiles (and some tears of happiness) as they tied the knot in front of their friends and family at the St. Mark’s Catholic Church. Anyone that knows these two will tell you how warm and genuine Rochelle and Leonard are to anyone they meet. And they’re SO much fun to be around and SO much fun in front of the camera! Congrats Rochelle and Leonard!

Jiselle And Nick’s Wedding Day Yorktown Virginia

I enjoyed being around Jiselle and Nick during their engagements and the wedding was no different, what a fun and loving couple and it’s obvious how much they care for each other just by watching their stolen glances, quick kisses, and private conversations. The wedding took off without delay on the beach in Yorktown, Virginia early Saturday morning. The reception took place at the Historic Powhatan Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia. I am still moved by Nick’s brothers speech as I am sure the whole room was, very heartfelt and sincere. Here are a few photos I liked from the day..

Joanna And Kelly’s Wedding Day

The Norfolk Botanical Garden was in full bloom for Joanna and Kelly’s wedding day and with a good chance of rain, luck played out on the side of the new couples special day. I remember meeting Joanna and Kelly a year and a half ago and what seemed a short jump for me, I think took forever for Joanna and Kelly to get too. I really enjoyed and I am blessed that you both allowed me to be part of your wedding day and I think with all the bumps in the road you both have had over the last year this is a new beginning for you both and nothing but good things and good news lay down the road ahead with your new life together… Good luck to the both of you….

The Tran Family

I was a little late on the posting of this session but one that I am very happy to show and share at the end of 2010 with the Tran family and friends. One of my first weddings, first maternity sessions and birthing sessions, I have been blest and granted with the special privilege of documenting some of the amazing highlights of the Tran’s family life. My wife and I have become very good friends with Linda, Thao and their beautiful daughter Taylor. We took the time and found a couple of spots around the Virginia Beach courthouse during one of the last warm days before the cold really set in. Laura Trash The Dress Virginia, Beach TTD

This was my first “trash the dress session” and I had a lot of fun being behind the camera for this shoot. I shot Laura’s wedding a couple of years ago and she has joined me for other shoots so she knew what I was looking for, which made it all that more fun. We took the tour of Granby Street in Norfolk, Virginia and then moved to the beach after that. I would like to thanks once more Lauren Gerald for makeup and Kelly Ashton for hair. They both did a wonderful job and I recommend them highly. Thanks Laura for hanging in there with that 80 pounds of water soaked in that wedding dress. Here are a couple of shots from the day.. Enjoy
